Studio Rental Agreement

Renter agrees to rent studio space at the agreed upon rate for the term of this contract. Contract will be binding for dates provided by renter and confirmed by studio owner.

Renter is responsible for payment of rent for all dates the space is reserved. We do not refund or credit rent when renter cancels an event, rehearsal or class.

Deposits are non-refundable. A partial refund may be allowed if studio owner is given notice of cancellation 7 days prior to the cancelled event, rehearsal or class. Contract may be terminated by studio owner at any time. In the event of contract termination, studio owner will give renter 15 days notice of contract termination. 

Payment options are credit/debit card or check. Please no cash. A 50% deposit is due immediately to hold studio rental. Full payment is due by the day of the event.

For recurring monthly renters, payment is due BY THE 15th of each month.
 A 20% late fee will be added to all past due balances.
 

PARTY RENTAL

The Renter may decorate the space using scotch tape or electrical tape to apply decorations to walls or mirrors. All decorations must be removed at the end of the event or class to avoid a cleaning fee of $25.

Renter must provide any food, drinks, utensils or paper products for events. We do not have a water fountain or an ice machine on the premises. Please bring any supplies you might need for your event.

ANY FAST FOOD BAGS, BEVERAGE CONTAINERS, OR COOKED FOOD MUST BE PLACED IN DUMPSTERS BEHIND STUDIO. DO NOT LEAVE FAST FOOD BAGS OR COOKED FOOD IN TRASH CANS IN THE STUDIO. A $10 fee will apply when cooked food is left in the studio trash cans.

Renter may bring an iPod, iPhone or laptop to play music. WiFi is available. Password will be given upon request.

Please collect trash and leave bags by the door. All food and spills must be cleaned up immediately. A cleaning fee of $25 will apply if excessive clean up is required by the studio owner. Cleaning supplies are in the cabinet by the front door or the water closet in the hall.
 

LOCK UP PROCEDURE

• power down all equipment
 • unplug all fans/heaters
 • set AC to 76 degrees (and OFF) and be sure that all heaters are unplugged
 • Turn off all lights. Outside light may stay on if departing after dark.
 • All curtains must be closed in both rooms.
 • check that BOTH doors are secure and that latches are in closed position. Lock the deadbolt and the handle.

CLASS OR CHOREOGRAPHY RENTAL

**Failure to follow rental rules will result in termination of contract immediately without 15 days notice.

Renter must provide proof of liability insurance for group classes. Waivers of liability are required for choreography sessions and one time events that involve physical activity.

Choreography Rental
      • N
o more that 1 choreographer and 4 dancers are allowed in the space.

Class Rentals
      • limit of 20 students (additional students may be allowed for increased rental rate per hour)
      • No guest teachers or additional classes during your rental time. Each teacher must  
         provide liability insurance and pay rent.

Street shoes are not allowed on the dance space. Please remove shoes and place them in cubbies. Hip Hop dancers should clean the soles of their shoes before wearing them onto the dance floor area or should bring a pair of shoes that have clean soles that have not been worn outside. Hip Hop classes should be sure to clean the floor before departing to avoid cleaning fees.

A $25 Cleaning fee will apply when the floor is left in poor condition due to street shoes leaving marks or excessive dirt  or anything sticky on the floor.

Alcoholic beverages, candles, smoking or smoking devices are not permitted in the studio.

Please report any facility damage that you find or that may occur during your use of the studio on the day you discover it. We will attend to damages as quickly as possible. Renter will be responsible for any permanent damage caused to mirrors, sound equipment, flooring or general facility space. Any damages that are left unreported may be charged to renter's account or may result in termination of contract so be sure to report it when you see it.

Druid Hills Dance Center assumes no responsibility or liability for any injuries or damages that occur during this rental period. 

 

This form will serve as your rental contract.

We will email you an invoice.

Payment Options: All major credit cards or checks. We will include a link on your invoice so you can pay your deposit online. You can also mail us a check payable to DHDC (3334 North Druid Hills Rd, Suite A, Decatur, GA 30033.) Your balance is due on the day of your event or on the 15th of the month if it is a recurring rental.
